Lesson fees for in-studio lessons
(Also applicable to in-school programs)

Rate per standard half hour lesson:

• $15.98 - after 10% advance pay discount *
• $17.75 - Premium rate.

Rate per extended one hour lesson:

• $28.40 – after 20% advance pay discount *
• $35.50 - Premium rate.

Family discount - 50% off for second family member sharing same lesson. Parents of children under age 12 may participate in lessons at no additional charge.

** Advance payment refers to paying monthly lesson fees prior to the commencement of the first scheduled lesson each month. The Advance Payment Discount reduces by 1/3 each week following the due date. (Also see payment policy below). 

Availability:

Please contact me to check on availability. Click here to e-mail me. New students are started at any time there is an opening. If there are no suitable openings you can be placed on a waiting list to receive an email notification as openings arise.

There are no regularly scheduled lessons on stat. holidays, Christmas break or March break (as set by the local board of education). Lessons during summer break (July and August) are optional but available and recommended to maintain momentum and interest.

Payment policy

Attending music lessons and retaining a full time instructor require a commitment from students and parents. With the exceptions below, payment is required for regular scheduled lessons that are cancelled or missed. Initial start up payment must be received in advance; thereafter lesson fees will be accepted up to the last scheduled lesson each month. (Discount will be adjusted accordingly). Lessons are typically one a week and payable monthly. Lessons are continuous but not contractual and may be discontinued at any time. Your financial commitment is for one month at a time only.

Payment is not required for:

• Cancellations by instructor (In-studio / in-school lessons)
• Cancellations by you due to severe winter weather. (In-studio lessons)
• Cancellations to attend a religious service (In-school lessons)
• Cancellations for required scholastic activity. (In-school lessons)
• Missed lesson due to busing delay (In-school lessons)
• Snow days (In-school lessons)

Make-ups for cancelled lessons:

Make-up lessons for a cancelled lesson are not guaranteed but a reasonable effort will be made to offer a no charge make-up for cancelled lessons. Make-up lessons will be offered by email as opportunities arise.

Make-up lessons for cancelled in-school lessons are done in my home studio only.

To be eligible for a make-up you are required to:

• Provide advance notice when cancelling a lesson
• Be active and paid-to-date when make-up opportunities arise.
