Payment & Policies 08/09 Season* *September '08 to August '09 inclusive Fees per ½ hour lesson : In-studio lessons and In-school programs $17.75 - Primary Rate $15.98 - After early advance payment discount. Remit your full monthly payment by your first scheduled lesson each month for a 10% discount. $12.43 - After introductory discount. First time students receive an additional 20% discount for a total of 30% eight consecutive weeks. Discount is reduced by 1/3 each week the monthly lesson fee remains due beyond the first scheduled lesson. One hour rates and shared lesson rates for guitar are also available. Note: Fees for in-school programs outside the city of Brockville may vary. There are no lessons on stat. holidays, Christmas break. Lessons during Summer break (July and August) are optional but available and recommended. Summer students who wish, may participate in an outdoor summer recital in August. Students who complete June and wish to break for the summer may have their times reserved for September. New students are started at any time so call now if you are interested. You can be placed on a waiting list if there are no suitable openings. In-studio cancellations and make up lessons Although a make-up for a cancelled lesson cannot be guaranteed, a reasonable effort will be made to offer a no charge make-up when students cancel with sufficient notice. Students must be active and paid to date to be eligible for a make-up. Notification is done by email. Attending music lessons and retaining a full time instructor require a commitment from students and parents. With some exceptions (below), payment is required for regular scheduled lessons when cancelled or missed. Payment is not required: For cancellations by instructor. For missed or cancelled lessons due to severe winter weather. In-school payment and cancelled lesson policy Payment is required for most cancelled and all missed lessons with some exceptions. Make-up lessons for cancelled lessons at school are not offered, however, an in-studio make up may be requested. In school lesson times are subject sensitive and students may not be taken from class for more than 30 minutes once a week. Payment is not required: For lessons cancelled by instructor. If attending a religious service. If missed due to bussing delays. If absent due to a snow days. If missed due scholastic activity or class field trip (Note, missed lessons for voluntary extracurricular activity are charged.)   < Home >
